Paul Pogba and Juventus agree to terminate contract
Paul Pogba and Juventus have mutually agreed to part ways as the French midfielder faces an 18-month ban from football.
Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Swiss side FC Basel in their UEFA Champions League Group A opener came at a price, for star midfielder Paul Pogba suffered a hamstring injury and his manager, Jose Mourinho, admitted he was unsure about the severity of the complaint.
“I don’t know. I just know from experience it’s a muscular injury. In my experience, muscular injury stops you from playing for a few weeks, I think,” Mourinho told MUTV after the game.
Pogba pulled up while clutching his left hamstring in the 17th minute. The midfielder was replaced by Marouane Fellaini and United didn’t let the Frenchman’s departure disrupt their rhythm as they scripted a fairly straightforward win.

Fellaini opened the scoring in the 35th minute before second-half goals from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford ensure the result to leave United on top of Group A.
“It looks for me too (like a hamstring injury) but I haven’t spoken yet to the medical department,” Mourinho added.
United, who are atop the Premier League table as well, face Everton on Sunday in what is expected to be a emotional game for Wayne Rooney be returning to Old Trafford for the first time since his summer move to the Toffees.
Pogba will almost certainly miss the Everton tie as he is expected to be absent for the next three games and will be in contention to feature when CSKA Moscow come visiting on September 28, providing he has not suffered a serious tear.
