CPI(M) veteran Sitaram Yechury passes away
The 72-year-old veteran politician breathed his last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, where he had been admitted since August 19.
Unidentified persons hurled a petrol bomb at the district CPI(M) office here early today, but no one was injured, police said.
A car parked there was partially damaged in the incident, police said.

Gandhi and Kharge drove to Abdullah’s Gupkar Road residence in Srinagar after addressing a meeting of Congress workers, and discussed the seat sharing formula.
The manifesto said India witnessed a process of “systematic dismantling of the four pillars of the constitution – secular democracy, economic sovereignty, federalism and social justice.”
