Mercury rises by 2 degrees in Delhi
The national capital saw a surge of 2 degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature in the past 24-hours on Monday, the weather department said.
The bypoll for Delhi's Rajouri Garden assembly constituency will be held on April 9.
Being viewed as a precursor to the municipal elections on April 23, it will be a popularity test for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), of revival for the Congress, and a prestige issue for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The seat fell vacant after sitting legislator Jarnail Singh, of the AAP, quit to contest from the Lambi seat in Punjab against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patron Parkash Singh Badal.
