SC rejects Madhu Koda’s plea for stay of conviction in coal scam case
A bench comprising Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar rejected Madhu Koda's plea challenging the Delhi High Court order.
In a major development to the alleged illegal mining case, the Supreme Court on Wednesday granted relief to former Karnakata chief minister SM Krishna and asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to file a report within three months.
The apex court has further asked the SIT team of the Karnataka Police to look into allegations against two ex-CMs, N Dharam Singh and H D Kumaraswamy in the iron ore mining case.
On January 27, 2012, the Supreme Court had stayed the Lokayukta police's probe against SM Krishna in the mining case, saying the proceedings were 'premature'.

Krishna had earlier filed a petition seeking that the Lokayukta police's probe against him be quashed.
