Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the petroleum sector would see a boost of 12-15 per cent in the next two decades. Addressing the crowd in Bharuch, Gujarat where he inaugurated the Four- Lane Extradosed Bridge over river Narmada at Bharuch and Petrochemicals Complex of OPaL (ONGC Petro additions Limited), PM Modi said, “India’s petroleum sector is advancing at a faster rate.”
PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Bharuch Bus Port.

The Prime Minister has dedicated the Rs.30,000 crore multiple development projects to the nation. “OPal had a huge contribution in various government projects such as Make in India and Smart City,” Modi said.

PM Modi further lauded OpaL for bringing infrastructural development into the town of Dahej and boosting Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR) and SEZ. “Dahej is like a mini-India. People from all over India are here and are contributing to the nation. Dahej had become one of the top 50 industrial regions of the world.”
