A Russian military helicopter Ka-29 on Friday crashed in the Baltic Sea in the Kaliningrad region, killing two crew members on board, the authorities said.
The helicopter crashed near to the Russian region of Kaliningrad during a test flight at about 23:30 Moscow time (2030 GMT) on Thursday, the crew of the Ka-29 helicopter, consisting of two pilots, were killed, the statement said.
A search operation is underway at the crash site to recover the bodies.
Earlier, a Mi-8 helicopter crashed in a city in far eastern Russia on Wednesday, killing six people. Further details awaited.
