PM to launch his poll campaign in Varanasi on Feb 22

Congress, DMK promote dynasty, stall development: PM


Exactly one month after the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi from February 22 where he will launch his poll campaign.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will gift 36 projects worth Rs 14,316 crore to Kashi. These projects include inauguration of 23 schemes worth Rs 10,972 crore and foundation stone laying work of 13 schemes worth Rs 3,344.07 crore.

According to the BJP leaders, the PM is expected to address two public meetings during his visit with a target of around one lakh crowd in each of them.

Besides the public meetings, Modi will interact with local BJP leaders and intellectuals. Modi is also likely to visit Kashi Vishwanath Dham on February 23 morning. He is scheduled to visit Ravidas Temple too.

According to Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma here on Sunday, preparations for the PM’s arrival were going on in full swing. BJP District President and MLC Hansraj Vishwakarma said booth level workers from every assembly will participate in PM’s public meetings.
