US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that he is “in no rush” to make a deal with North Korea to get it to dismantle its nuclear weapons program.

Trump met with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duba to highlight the deepening of the military- to- the military relationship between the two sides.

During a press conference with the Polish president, Trump said, “I think we’re going to do very well with North Korea over a period of time. I’m in no rush. The sanctions are on,”

Duda’s visit to the US comes almost a month after Trump’s meeting at the White House with Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban in May.

Earlier in February, President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had attended a summit for two days in Hanoi. Kim had abruptly cut short the meeting than what was planned.

Donald Trump said that he walked away from signing a denuclearization deal after they failed to reach an agreement for economic sanctions on Pyongyang to be lifted.
