Post royal wedding, things Meghan Markle will be forbidden to do

The much-anticipated royal wedding of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle has begun. As Meghan steps into the new phase of her life, she has to leave behind certain things that she normally did. Getting married in a royal family will change a whole lot of situations.

Do you know how drastically things would change for her? Well, the royal tag comes with a set of new rules. Becoming one of the Royals would take away these enlisted practices that Meghan carried out earlier.

Social media is a big no, no

Meghan Markle or any other royal family member isn’t allowed to manage their own social media account. Though Meghan was quite popular on social media, she had to shut all Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts post her engagement to Prince Harry.

Goodbye, autographs

As we all know that Meghan is an actress and autographs are a part of a celebrity lifestyle. Markle has already called it quits with Suits and now that she is married, she wouldn’t be allowed to give autographs. The reason is a signature forgery, why all the royals are forbidden to give autographs.

No voting

Earlier, Meghan has been quite vocal about her political opinion. However, after tieing the knot with Prince Harry she has to be shut about all political issues. Meghan would be expected to remain neutral on political matters. She wouldn’t be allowed to vote in elections too. The royal family has to express their political feelings through charitable work.

Quit acting


Meghan is expected to end her career as an actor. The royal family members are already occupied with some many works that it is impossible to carry on any professional job.

No travelling solo or with pals

The royal family members need to follow this rule very strictly for security reasons. Meghan who used travel a lot earlier has to now plan for vacations with the royal security. The Royals even get their drinks carried on with them at vacations so they do not get spiked.

Changed dinner time and bedtime

Meghan may have been to many fancy dinners but the royal family experiences quite a different dinner rules. The members at the dinner table are allowed to have their food only till the Queen is eating. Once the Queen is done with her food, the plates are removed for each one seated. Same goes for the bedtime rules, the royal family members go to sleep only after the Queen has left.

Meghan is expected to dress up modestly at all occasions and no bare legs and cleavage show is allowed. She is expected to wear a hat all the time. Since only married women can wear a tiara, she can change to a tiara after 6 pm.
