Another famed TV host of American Fox News Channel has been suspended by the network amid allegations that he sent lewd images to female co-workers via text messages.

Eric Bolling, aged 54, has been suspended "pending the results of an investigation, which is currently underway," a Fox News spokesperson announced on Saturday, Xinhua reported.

Substitute hosts will replace Bolling on Fox News' "The Specialists" and "Cashin In'" for the duration of the investigation, the spokesperson said.

The announcement came a day after the HuffPost website reported that Bolling had sent unsolicited photographs of naked male body parts to former and current female colleagues at the company several years ago.

Bolling is the third Fox News personality to be removed from the air this year due to allegations of inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

Charles Payne, a host at Fox Business Network, has been suspended since July 6 over sexual harassment allegations made against him. The network's star anchor, Bill O' Reilly, was fired in April following sexual harassment revelations.
