Blind Cricket World Cup: Twitter flooded with wishes on India’s win over Pakistan in final

The defending champion India wrote history by beating Pakistan is the finale of World Cup by two wickets. This is the second time when men-in-blue had won the title. Earlier, Indian squad had won the title in 2014 by outclassing Pakistan.

Earlier after winning the toss, India chose to bowl and bowled out Pakistan for 307 runs in 40 overs for eight wickets. From across the border, Badar Munir scored the half century (57), Risayat Khan scored 48 runs and Captain Nisar Ali contributed 47 runs.

Indian bowlers, Deepak Malik and Rambir took two wickets each and Sunil Ramesh took one wicket.

Riding on the sensational knock of Sunil Ramesh 93 runs off 67 balls, India thrashed Pakistan by two wickets. Indian skipper Ajay Reddy scored 62 runs in 60 balls.

The micro-blogging site, Twitter soon flooded with wishes with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading from the front in congratulating the Indian squad.
