5.7 magnitude earthquake hit Southwest Iran

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit Iran’s Masjid Soleiman region in southwestern Khuzestan province , according to Iran’s national seismological centre on Monday

No major damage or casualties have been reported yet.

The tremor, whose epicentre was in the Masjed Soleiman area of Khuzestan province, hit at 11:30 am (0700 GMT) at a depth of 17 kilometres.
