Now WhatsApp users will be able to share audio files as status updates with the new update feature called “voice status updates” that is purportedly being rolled out for Android beta by the Meta-owned WhatsApp.

A new report from WABetaInfo has explained that the beta users of this update can now send audio notes as status updates by accessing the new feature from the text status area.

It will work similarly to picture, text, and video format status. It will also let users delete a recording before sharing it.

Users must update their WhatsApp version in order to hear voice notes transmitted via status, and the maximum recording time for a voice note is 30 seconds.

Voice notes posted via status will disappear after 24 hours, just like the normal status.

The audio format status will be protected by end-to-end encryption, which will ensure that only the users selected under their privacy settings may listen to voice notes that are shared as status updates.

Voice notes posted via status will disappear after 24 hours, just like the normal status.

Soon WhatsApp will release the final version of this for everyone, after completing the  beta test.
