Realme 10 hits Indian smartphone market at an eye-catching price

The much-awaited Realme 10 (4G) was unveiled in India on Monday, two months after its global introduction. The Realme 10 series’ entry-level device features a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 6.4-inch 90Hz Super AMOLED screen, and MediaTek’s Helio G99 CPU.

It is available in two colour schemes: Rush Black and Clash White. The cost of the 4/64GB variant is INR 13,999, while the 8/12GB trim costs INR 16,999. The sales begin on Realme’s website and in affiliated stores all throughout India on January 15 at 12 a.m.

Currently, it is running on the Realme UI 3.0 skin on top of Android 12. However, the company has stated that the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 update is coming shortly.

It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. Additionally, up to 8GB of dynamic RAM and up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM are available, as are up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expanded using a microSD card (up to 1TB).

According to Realme, this smartphone has an AnTuTu performance score of 391,000. However, it doesn’t support  5G networks. 

It sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display and has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 360 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. Additionally, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

With a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, the Realme 10 has a dual-rear camera configuration. In the top-left corner, it also has a 16-megapixel front camera. For improved night vision, it includes ProLight Imaging technology and the Flash Night View algorithm.

The Realme 10 houses a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W SuperVOOC rapid charging and is said to deliver up to 50% backup with a 28-minute charge present in the device.
