Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to release successor of OnePlus 5, runoured as OnePlus 5T in November.
According to GizmoChina, their source reveals that a new model, which will go by the name of the OnePlus 5T will release in November 2017. A similar trend that OnePlus followed in 2016, when it released OnePlus 3 successor OnePlus 3T in just five months.
As of now there aren’t much details available about the upcoming alleged model OnePlus 5T. The biggest upgrade is said to be in display. It is more likely to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio 6-inch screen with no bezels.
Reportedly, the alleged OnePlus 5T will feature narrow bezels on the top as well as at the bottom and a taller-than-wider design language, similar to Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus or Note 8. Smartphones with 18:9 aspect ratio or edge-to-edge displays are a rage now and China-based Vivo also introduced a 18:9 aspect ratio flagship device in September.
“The launch is said to be around early November, so there isn’t a lot of time left for its official unveil,” the report added.
OnePlus did a similar thing in 2016 by releasing OnePlus 3T barely five months after introducing OnePlus 3.
OnePlus 5 with dual rear cameras was launched in India in June in two variants – 6GB RAM/64GB storage and 8GB RAM/128GB storage for Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively.
The device houses 16MP+20MP rear dual-camera combination and 16MP front shooter.
