Elon Musk-led American aerospace company, SpaceX, has bought a large advertising package available on Musk’s latest acquisition, micro-blogging platformTwitter.
Musk officially acquired Twitter earlier this month with a whopping $44 billion deal.
The campaign will promote Starlink, a satellite broadband service owned and operated by SpaceX, on Twitter in Spain and Australia, according to internal platform documents seen by CNBC.
The marketing strategy that SpaceX has implemented to advertise Starlink is referred to as a “Twitter takeover.”
When a business buys one of these packages, it frequently shells out more than $250,000 to have its logo displayed at the top of the Twitter timeline for a full day.
On the day or days of the anticipated takeover campaign in Australia and Spain, users who access the microblogging site for the first three times will see brand messages from Starlink.
“SpaceX has not typically purchased large advertising packages from Twitter,” the report said.
In the meantime, SpaceX just declared that Starlink would be accessible to RVs starting in December.
In any region where the company had active coverage, Starlink for RVs would give users immediate access to high-speed, low-latency Internet while they were moving.
Due to its wide field of view and enhanced GPS capabilities, the flat high performance service could establish connections to many satellites and offer dependable connectivity wherever it was required.
