Expanding its Republic of Gamers (ROG) line-up of gaming laptops, ASUS on Wednesday unveiled latest dedicated Esports gaming notebooks “ROG Strix SCAR Edition” along with “ROG Strix HERO” edition and “Strix GL503” gaming laptop. The Taiwanese tech giant also introduced “ASUS Gaming FX503” notebook that will be available at Rs. 69,990 (starting price).
“Esports is gaining tremendous popularity in the country especially game titles like Dota2 and Counter Strike. The number of gamers switching from casual gaming to professional is increasing every year at an exponential level. This series delights not only those who care about performance but also those who demand great aesthetics thus enabling Esports contenders to gain the winning edge in their fierce competition,” Arnold Su, National Business Development Manager, PC and Gaming, said in a statement.
With a desktop-style keyboard layout, N-key rollover and fast-actuating keys, “ROG Strix SCAR” edition features Intel core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 series graphics cards.
The Asus “ROG Strix Hero” edition features Intel core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 series graphics cards and runs Windows 10 OS. It packs a 120Hz wide-view IPS display and a desktop-style keyboard with N-key rollover for fast, precise response to every input.
Coming to Asus “ROG Strix GL503”, it sports a keyboard layout inspired by desktop designs – featuring four hotkeys and four customisable RGB-backlit zones. It has an ergonomic 0.25mm-deep keycap curve with ROG-exclusive overstroke technology. The device also has a thermal design that employs heat pipes and dual 12V fans to automatically adjust the cooling system.
“ASUS Gaming FX503” houses Intel i7-7700HQ CPU and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. The intelligent dual-fan cooling design enables intense gaming sessions without throttling, the company claimed.
Availability and Pricing :
The Asus ROG Strix HERO Edition , SCAR Edition & Strix GL503 will be available at a starting price of Rs. 92,990. The Asus Gaming series FX503 will be available at a starting price of Rs. 69,990.
All these notebooks will be available from December 20 in India across online and offline retail partners and distributors, added company.
