Google has released the first update of 2023 for all the supported Pixel smartphones running Android 13 globally.
Android 13 based Pixel devices have started receiving January software updates. according to a statement from Google.
The tech giant stated in a support page that the deployment will begin on Tuesday and “continue over the next few weeks in phases depending on provider and device.”
Once the over-the-air (OTA) update is made available for their devices, users will receive a notification.
With the latest update, Google is fixing about 40 security-related issues. A few bug fixes and new features have also been included. For instance, Static Spatial Audio is now available for Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro, providing surround sound for any connected headset.
Additionally, two Bluetooth-related issues have been resolved. One occasionally stopped pairing or reconnecting of specific Bluetooth Low Energy devices or accessories, while the other occasionally prohibited audio from playing through specific headphones or accessories while connected under specific circumstances.
For the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, a problem that prevented the display from turning on or waking up while the device was turned on has also been fixed.
Along with bug corrections, the January 2023 version also offers enhancements to “Display & Graphics” and “Biometrics” among other areas.
Google updated its Pixel devices with additional features, including improved security and privacy settings, last month. These features made it simple for users to safeguard their phones, accounts, and passwords by allowing them to evaluate their security and privacy settings, risk ratings, and other information in one location.
