Representatives of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India on Sunday were enthralled by the grand display of old beauties of automobiles at the much-awaited 57th edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally held in the national capital.
At the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here, a group of representatives had a look at different vintage and classic cars and also posed for photographs with them.
Earlier in the day, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri flagged off the 57th edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally in the national capital.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally is an annual event that takes place in Delhi and Kolkata. It’s one of the oldest continuously run events in India and the sub-continent.
Last year, Baushuan Ger Amb., representative at Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in India, had described hosting of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally a good tradition and it can act as a linkage between India and Taiwan in terms of tourism.
Talking to The Statesman at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium during the 56th Edition of The Statesman Vintage & Classic Car Rally on January 16 last year, Baushuan Ger had said, “Such type of events should also be promoted in Taiwan”.
