‘Vintage’ selfies were in vogue on Sunday morning as curious onlookers gathered to catch a glimpse of the fascinating heritage vehicles lined up at Statesman House, Barakhamba Road, to participate in the 53rd edition of The Statesman Vintage and Classic Car Rally.

Vintage enthusiasts and curious onlookers were captivated by the ancient beauties and were seen frantically clicking pictures. A large crowd had gathered to witness the rally’s flag-off.

Priya skipped her German class to be a part of the Rally and enjoyed every minute of it. ” My name is Priya, I am 21 and I am learning German. I was passing by and saw these cars. I have always been a fan of vintage beauties and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. So i just skipped my class to be here. As I am here for the first time, I am very excited and want to capture every moment,” said Priya.

People from different places had come to witness the Rally. One girl had come all the way from Bangalore. ” I am Arya, I am 24 and a political analyst, I am from Bangalore and it’s the first time I will be witnessing such a thing. My two friends have been enthusiasts for the past two years and it’s because of them that I am here, I have heard a lot about the Rally and am really looking forward to the event,” said Arya.

Two girls had come with their father to take in the atmosphere and excitement of the Rally. “On this chilly Sunday morning, I am just here to entertain my daughters as they are really interested and keen about cars. I have been witnessing this event for three years. I initially got to know about it through my friend. My personal favourite is the Bentley, it’s a pure beauty,” said the gentleman.
