After India’s semi-final exit in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, everyone wanted to know what MS Dhoni’s plan was. Although many cricket experts and commentators opined that Dhoni should retire from the sport, he surprised everyone by deciding to take a two-month long break from cricket to serve his regiment in the Indian Army.

Notably, Dhoni had earlier received an honorary Lieutenant Colonel rank in the Indian Army and had even expressed his willingness to serve in the Army.

However, his International cricket commitments did not allow him to do so. Now, when Dhoni is in the twilight of his cricketing career, he has finally decided to take a two-month sabbatical from the sport and serve the Parachute Regiment of the Indian Army.

The images of him in the army uniform with other soldiers of his regiment have been going viral on the Internet. Another video, in which Dhoni was seen playing volleyball with his fellow army men was loved by netizens and now, a video has surfaced on the Internet, where he is seen humming the song “Main pal, do pal ka shayar hun.” in army uniform.”
