Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings lifted their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title at the jam-packed Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on Sunday by thrashing SunRisers Hyderabad by eight wickets.
Chennai made their comeback in the T20 tournament this season after serving a ban for two years over match-fixing and betting and proved their mettle yet again by winning the IPL trophy.
After winning the IPL cup, MS Dhoni’s boys celebrated their victory in style.

Super Kings remain Superior Kings;
No matter where they play;
The more they are driven out of Chennai;
Chennai super Kings proved that they are the uppermost super Kings;
Let them play;

Earlier on Sunday, MS Dhoni opted to field first after winning the toss. With the help of Yusuf Pathan’s unbeaten 45 runs off 25 balls and skipper Kane Williamson’s 47, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a competitive total of 178 for 6 in 20 overs.
However, it seemed 178 was not enough as the target seemed like a cake-walk for the MS Dhoni-led side.
Australian cricketer Shane Watson scored unbeaten 117 runs and helped his team chase down the target with ease with eight wickets and nine balls to spare.
