Indian cricket fans were left upset and frustrated after the team’s poor run in the recently concluded five-match Test series against England in England. All-rounder Hardik Pandya became the latest victim of fans’ anger after he wrote in an Instagram post that the series against England was ‘well fought’.
On Wednesday, Pandya took to photo-sharing application Instagram to share a photograph of himself and wrote, “Back to India gutted with the result but it was a well-fought series and good to be back home for couple of days before we fly again for Asia cup in few days time.”
Moments after the post was shared on Instagram, fans lashed out at the cricketer and suggested a few other career options for him.
“isko koi rapper bana do iska mann nai lagta cricket me, rapper jaise huliya bana ke Show off krta rehta hai hamesha.” (make him a rapper, he is not focussed on cricket, shows off like a rapper),” a fan commented on Hardik Pandya’s post.
“Bartender,” another fan wrote. “You look like a gangster,” said an Insta user.
“Ur behavior Too much over action first play well cricket otherwise u remain this style only not place in cricket,” another fan said.
In the recently concluded Test series, Pandya scored 22, 31, 11, 26, 18, 52 not out, 4 and 0 before getting dropped in the fifth and final Test.
