Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino said that defender Toby Alderweireld is to be sidelined until February after suffering a hamstring injury.

Alderweireld, 28, has not appeared in any matches with his side since November 1, when the English club defeated Real Madrid 3-1 in the UEFA Champions League group stage, reports Efe.

“We cannot change the reality. The reality is that he is injured and cannot play until February,” the Argentine coach said at a press conference.

Spurs have won only three of their last eight matches since the Belgian international was hurt and two of those victories were in Champions League play.
