Indian sports fraternity has called on the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to keep believing in themselves and be proud of their achievements and the manner in which they were worked hard to achieve this dream.
Notably, communications between the moon lander Vikram and the orbiter got snapped as the former was only 2.1 km away from its designated landing spot on the moon’s South Pole early on Saturday.
The lander had successfully completed its rough braking phase with its descent speed going down well. But It was then that communication was lost, throwing a pall of gloom at the ISRO centre where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and students from across the country had gathered.
Following, the Chandrayaan-2 setback, sports fraternity has come out to salute ISRO for its achievement and urged them to stay optimistic and come back stronger.
“There is no such thing as failure. Only upwards and onwards from here. We are proud of you @isro , we salute your hardwork and dedication in serving the nation. #JaiHind #Chandrayaan2”, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant tweeted.
