Skyesports announces city-based Battle Ground Mobile India tournament


Skyesports announced its first city-based BGMI event, the Skyesports League 2024, on Wednesday. The competition will be held in March in Mumbai.

This is the first city-based esports event, with 16 cities participating.

Skyesports CEO Shiva Nandy says the competition would include city-based teams to highlight regional entertainment.

Nandy went on to explain that “The Skyesports League will be a celebration of India’s diversity and will include regional and localised flavours never seen before in Indian esports” .

Shashank Bhandari, Skyesports’ Head of Global Business Partnership, claimed that, despite getting several submissions, they carefully picked the top teams for the esports event.

The BGMI tournament will feature teams from each city, recruited through various partners.

The following 16 teams compete: Ahmedabad Avengers, Bengaluru Crushers, Bhuwaneswar Titans, Chennai Clutchers, Delhi Dragons, Guwahati Giants, Hyderabad Nawabs, Kochi Kings, Kolkata Tridents, Lucknow Pushers, Mumbai Aces, Pune Pros, Punjab Pinnacles, Rajasthan Strikers, Rachi Warriors, and Vizag Gladiators.
