In a recent turn of events, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Thomas Tuchel has stated that Neymar will not feature in any of the club matches until and unless there is clarity regarding his future.

Although Neymar has recovered from an injury which he had picked up in the month of June while playing for Brazil, Tuchel has clarified that he will not be playing for PSG until his commitments are sorted out.

“The position of the club is that if the situation is not clear, he cannot play…If the situation is clear tomorrow he can play, if not, he can’t,” Tuchel said at a press conference ahead of their Ligue 1 encounter against Toulouse.

He also added that the former Barcelona player has trained “in good spirit” with PSG “but on the other hand, there is his situation with the club, which is the same.”

However, he refused to comment on whether or not Neymar’s exclusion from the playing XI implies that he is set to leave the club. He stated that it was a question for sporting director Leonardo.

It is worth noting here that Neymar was last seen in PSG colours on 11 May, 2019.
