Hailing India’s 203-run victory over Pakistan in the semi-final of ICC Under-19 World Cup at the Hagley Oval in New Zealand on Tuesday, former Indian captains and cricket legends termed it to be an incredible performance by Rahul Dravid’s boys and wished them luck for the final.
‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar said it to be a splendid display by the Indian Under-19 team. He tweeted, “Quality play with great dominance in all departments. Splendid display! Good luck for the finals. #INDvsPAK.”

Another cricket great VVS Laxman was in all praise for the boys and termed it to be an incredible performance. He tweeted that he was mighty impressed with the fielding and not giving Pakistan even an inch.

The ‘King of Twitter’, Virender Sehwag termed it to be brutal and said India thoroughly outplayed Pakistan.

Meanwhile, former India cptain Mohammad Azharuddin hailed the U-19 Indian team, saying, “They have done the nation proud. Today’s game..to get a team all out for 69 speaks volumes of the talent they possess. I hope they comeback with the World Cup. We have been winning the U-19 World Cup many times (thrice). We hope to win it for the fourth time as well.”

Earlier, Shubman Gill (102 not) helped India to post 272 runs after opting to bat first. Later, medium-pacer Ishan Porel returned figures of 4/17 to bowl out Pakistan for 69 runs.
India will play Australia in the final at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on February 3.
