Ahead of the IPL-2024, President of Rajasthan Cricket Association Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of former chief minister Ashok Gehlot, tendered his resignation from his post citing state government’s Sports Council’s interference in the RCA and SMS Stadium activities.

In his resignation letter communicated through the former CM’s WhatsApp media group this afternoon, Vaibhav said he had heard that a no-confidence motion was moved against him by RCA members but so far he had no written complaint or authentic letter from anyone.

Besides, the state Sports Council has seized his office, other premises located inside the SMS Stadium on alleged non-payment of lease and absence of a fresh agreement, he said.

“To keep the standard, future and image of RCA, sports persons and my dignity, I willfully resign from my post of RCA President,” he maintained.
