Former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid, whose achievements on the field are no less than legendary, turned 46 on Friday, January 11.
Dravid was also popularly known as the ‘The Wall’ of Team India by cricket fans and expert alike. Dravid, who is arguably one of the best batsmen of his time, was also equally appreciated for his calm temperament both on and off the field.
The stylish Karnataka batsman is among one of those rare breeds of batsmen who never made a headline for the wrong reasons. Dravid is also arguably the most selfless cricketers having a spotless career.
Following his retirement from all forms of cricket, Dravid was offered to coach the Indian cricket team, but he turned it down and chose to nurture the young cricketers instead.
Currently, Dravid is the coach of Under-19 Indian cricket team and India ‘A’.
Rahul Dravid had played 344 One Day Internationals, 164 Test matches and one T20I. Dravid has 48 centuries to his credit (ODIs and Tests included) and he is among the top 10 international players who have scored the maximum number of centuries in all formats of the game.

Happy Birthday Rahul bhai ! They call it a Gentleman’s game because legends like you played it. Sharing the dressing room with you was a privilege & an honor that I’ll never forget. For me, #TheWall will always be the only wall. Fiercely skilled bowlers to face, not always a settled team, at times a wicketkeeper and he pulled off every single task with aplomb. #HappyBirthdayRahulDravid pic.twitter.com/9UcTEy7zUE

Sachin is God. Sourav is God on the off side. Laxman is God of 4th innings. But when the doors of the temple are closed, even Gods are behind #TheWall.#HappyBirthdayRahulDravid pic.twitter.com/C0TJsQhvE4
