Pakistan cricketer Sana Mir has said Mahendra Singh Dhoni as her favourite Indian cricketer of all time.
Speaking to Zainab Abbas on the Voice of Cricket show, when the former limited overs skipper was asked about her all-time favourite player, she named former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and veteran Pakistan cricketer Imran Khan.
“MS Dhoni and Imran Khan are my favourite cricketers. Dhoni is an inspiration to me and you can say he is my favourite captains among all as well,” Sana Mir told Zainab Abbas.
On Tuesday, Sana Mir became the number one bowler in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) ODI Women’s bowlers’ rankings with 663 points, followed by Australia’s Megan Schutt (660 points) and South Africa’s Marizzane Kapp (643).
The right-arm off-break bowler had taken to Twitter to express her joy at this momentous achievement and wrote, “This is a team effort of support staff and players who have helped me excel.”
