Pakistan Vs New Zealand 1st Test ended in a draw on Day 5 as the fading light interfered with the match. Chasing a target of 137 runs, Kiwis scared the hosts at one instance, but at the end Babar Azam had a smile of relief when the match was decided to be called off at the score of 61/1.

Earlier, Pakistan declared their innings at 311 runs after losing 8 wickets. Babar Azam took a chance that turned out to be scary for Pakistan. The knock of Imam Ul Haq and former captain Sarfaraz Khan made Pakistan look steady.

A 71-run stand between Wasim and Shakil brought Pakistan back from the jaws of defeat. However, what came out of nowhere was Azam declaring the inning at a score of 311. This gave goose bumps to all the visitors as they now had a chance to win this game who was heading towards a draw.

Kiwis came out to bat chasing a target of 138 runs in 15 overs which looked possible seeing the quality of cricket the players play in the shortest format of the game. Chasing a small target New Zealand lost an early wicket.

But Devon Convoy and Tom Latham came out to bat and showed their intentions clearly. They played attacking shots as Kiwis were off to a record win. But the fading light interrupted the match and the match had to be drawn eventually.

Kane Williamson played a masterclass inning as he scored a remarkable double ton. He was named as the player of the match. He played a spectacular inning scoring 200 runs off 395 balls which included 21 fours and 1 six.
