India’s batting great Sachin Tendulkar lauded the performance of India’s spin duo of chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal after they starred with the ball in Men-in-Blue’s record win over New Zealand in the second ODI played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
With the win in the second ODI, Team India have taken a lead of 2-0 in the ongoing five-match ODI series. The third match of the series will be played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on Monday, January 28.
After the match, Tendulkar heaped praises on Kuldeep (4/45) and Chahal (2/52) and said that most teams will find it difficult to score against them. Both Kuldeep and Chahal scalped 6 wickets between them. The duo has also picked the same number of wickets in the first ODI as well.
“India have been convincing yet again today to go 2 up in the series. The opening partnership was the key & bowlers did the rest. Most sides will have to find a way to score runs against @yuzi_chahal & @imkuldeep18 & not lose too many wickets in the middle overs. #NZvIND,” Tendulkar wrote on his official Twitter handle.

Apart from Kuldeep and Chahal, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan also played an important role in India’s win. Both Dhawan and Rohit stitched a 154-run stand for the first wicket as Team India put a mammoth total of 324 runs.
India’s 90-run win over New Zealand was also their biggest win over New Zealand in Kiwi land in terms of runs.
