Nidahas Trophy: Indian bowlers restrict Bangladesh to 139/8

Bangladesh 139/8 in 20 overs: After losing two wickets in the Powerplay, Bangladesh could never recover from the early blows as Indian bowlers led by Jaydev Unadkat (3/38) and Vijay Shankar (2/32) helped India restrict the opposition to 139 for 8 in the Nidahas Trophy Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tri-series on Thursday.

Bangladesh 69/3 in 10 overs: Bangladesh lost two wickets in the Powerplay and were 69/3 in 10 overs. In the third over Soumya Sarkar was caught by Yuzvendra Chahal off Jaydev Unadkat’s bowling for 14, while Tamim Iqbal was caught Unadkat off Thakur at 15.  Meanwhile, Vijay Shankar took his first international wicket when he got Mushfiqur Rahim caught behind the wicket by Dinesh Karthik on 18.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field against Bangladesh in the second match of the Nidahas Trophy.

Bangladesh are playing with five bowlers and six batsmen while India remained unchanged from the last match, which they lost to Sri Lanka by five wickets.
