Son of India’s legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun, is gearing up for his U-19 debut with the Mumbai cricket team in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy starting next week.

Elsewhere, Pakistan’s iconic cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq’s nephew Imam-ul-Haq will also take a stance in his debut for the national team, in the Sri Lanka series starting October 13.

Imam was picked by uncle Inzamam himself on Friday as the former cricketer now holds the position of Pakistan’s chief selector. In Arjun’s case, it’s evident that the rookie hasn’t got more support from his dad apart from the prestigious surname ‘Tendulkar’.

In his span of international cricket, Sachin redefined the Indian cricket. His tag ‘the god of cricket’ was true to fullest as people used to worship him for his skills across the globe.

The man who scored 100 international centuries for India, Sachin, was indeed the best of his generation.

Now with Arjun making his way to debut, fans from the nation will tie their hopes with the teenage sensation.

Unlike his father, Arjun bowls out-and-out pace and have received praise from the best of fast bowlers in past. He had also represented Mumbai in the U-16 tournament in the 2015-16 season.

On the other hand, Imam is a southpaw top-order batsman, who has played 31 First-Class matches and 24 List A games so far.

Inzamam said the 21-year-old has been picked because of his consistent performances in domestic cricket and to give him a chance to play in home conditions.

Earlier, Imam has played for the Pakistan Under-19 and emerging squad.
