Ranveer Singh is on cloud nine ever since the mammoth success of Padmaavat which has solidified his status as one of the leading men of Bollywood.
Now the actor is all set to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL 2018 and if reports are to be believed then Ranveer is charging a whopping amount of Rs 5-crore for a 15-minute performance.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the organisers believe that the recent success of Padmaavat has made him a star with whom the all age groups can connect.
“He will be shaking a leg for about 15 minutes, but the organising team was always clear that they wanted Ranveer as a performer and that’s why he has been offered such a huge amount,” the report said.
“His appeal cuts across cities, age-groups and he has an equally big fan following among men and women. That’s why the organisers felt that he is the perfect fit for the performance at this year’s IPL opening ceremony,” an insider added.
Ranveer’s enthusiastic energy and spontaneity have made him the star he is today and this is the reason why the organisers are so much interested in a performance from the Padmaavat actor even if it includes a hefty investment of Rs 5-crore.
On the work front, Ranveer has an interesting line of films up his sleeves, ranging from Gully Boy to Simmba to Kapil Dev’s biopic 83.
