Cricket is like a duet between batsmen and bowlers. However, lately, the gentleman’s game seems more in favour of batters than bowlers since the rise of T20 cricket.
With the change in format, a lot has changed in the batting style as a T20 innings sees more sixes than the total in a Test match.
Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni thinks two more runs should be given for bigger sixes. On Wednesday, at the post-match conference between Kolkata Knight Riders and CSK, Dhoni made the off-hand proposal.
“There were a lot of sixes, a lot of them went out of the stadium. I feel the IPL needs to add two runs more every time you hit it out of the stadium,” Dhoni was quoted as saying by cricket.com.au.
If a batsmen hits a 6 more than 80 meters… then it’s a 8! https://t.co/tNIWyUreAx

Earlier, former Australian cricketer Dean Jones had also advocated 8 runs if the batsman hits a six and the ball covers more than 80 metres.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians speedster Mitchell McClenaghan came with his own ‘great idea’.
Should the biggest sixes be worth more than six? It’s a left-field suggestion that’s been floated by some greats of the game…https://t.co/Sn6XKry7vq

Yeah great idea – while your at it… if a stump gets knocked out of the ground or a catch gets taken one handed then the team loses 3 wickets

McClenaghan also got support from South African pacer Dale Steyn.
