Spanish tennis player Albert Ramos-Vinolas defeated Croatia's Marin Cilic on Friday, advancing to the Montecarlo Rolex Masters semi-finals for the first time.
The 29-year-old Spaniard took two hours and 33 minutes to beat the fifth-seeded Cilic 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-2, reports Efe.
Ramos, 24th in the world ranking, had on Thursday beaten the World No.1 Andy Murray in the previous round.
The Spaniard, taking part in his fifth clay court tournament this year, will now face the winner of the match between Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas and Frenchman Lucas Pouille.
