Indian One Day International (ODI) skipper Mithali Raj added another feather to her cap on Friday. Mithali, who is playing her 192th ODI at Nagpur, has become the most capped international woman player.

Earlier, she was tied with the former England skipper Charlotte Edwards who had played 191 ODI matches for the English team.

Mithali Raj also holds the records of highest run-getter in women’s ODIs. Raj has scored 6,295 runs in 191 games.

Mithali had made her debut in ODI cricket against Ireland in Milton Keynes in June 1999, in which she scored unbeaten 114 runs and India had won the match by 161 runs.

Meanwhile, star Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami is at number 3 spot in the list of most-capped players in WODIs, along with England’s Jenny Gunn, the only other active player in the top-five list.

In the opening match of the three-match ODI series against England, riding on Poonam Yadav’s exceptional spell, India restricted the rivals to 207 runs in 49.3 overs at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
