Premier League giants Manchester United have rendered themselves in a crisis kind of a situation. The Premier League giant team offloaded players like Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez off their team but have failed to make arrangements for their replacements. The Red Devils have also faced injury concerns post that and are thus looking for more players as covers. Moussa Dembele is one such player who is being targeted by them.

According to a report carried by Daily Mail, Manchester United are in fact closely monitoring the progress of Olympique Lyonnais star Moussa Dembele. The French International has been in phenomenal form this season and his form has prompted Manchester United to send their scouts to watch him in action.

The report also adds that Manchester United scouts were watching Dembele when Lyon were up against Brest in Ligue 1. He was also being watched in games against Paris Saint Germain and Zenit St Petersburg with the latter being played as part of the UEFA Champions League competition.

The 22-year-old has been rotated along with Memphis Depay in the Lyon attack by current manager Sylvinho. Consequently, Manchester United is sure of getting him at a discounted rate.

Dembele has already netted six goals in Ligue 1 and is the top scorer of the League ahead of star players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Wissam Ben Yedder.
