Manchester United have not had a dream start to their Premier League campaign this season and only have a solitary game in which they have scored more than one goal. Moreover, they have only managed to win four of their ten matches, drawn four and lost two. Consequently, the club has identified one target each from La Liga, Ligue 1, and Bundesliga to try and draft in star players in the team.
According to a report published in Daily Mail, Manchester United have identified three players which they would sign in the forthcoming transfer window to strengthen their squad. The Red Devils are moreover weakened by injuries and transfer windows and are struggling to register wins in the season so far.
The first of their three targets is Ousmane Dembele of Barcelona. The French forward had signed Barcelona as a replacement for Neymar. However, his off-field antics would well see him depart from the club and Manchester United would be more than happy to have him in their side.
Their second target is Timo Werner of RB Leipzig. The German striker has been in phenomenal form with the club and has recently signed a new contract with a very less release clause which is what might have prompted the Red Devils to draft him in their squad.
Their final target is Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, who is the joint top scorer in Ligue 1 with as many as six goals. However, he is expected to be the most expensive transfer target of the lot.
It remains to be seen which of these reported deals eventually materialises.
