Riding on a brace from Karim Benzema, Real Madrid registered a comfortable win over Levante as Eden Hazard donned Real Madrid colours for the first time. Hazard made his debut in a match which saw them win by 3-2.

A brace from Benzema and a solitary goal from Casemiro ensured that Real Madrid get the invaluable three points at the points table. Notably, all the goals for the Real Madrid team were scored in the first half itself and Los Blancos were in complete control of the initial half and went into the break leading 3-0.

However, it was in the second half that Levante fought back, Borja Mayoral netted a goal which was followed by another one from Gonzalo Melero. However, Thibaut Courtois did well to preserve Madrid’s lead in the finishing minutes of the match.

Hazard, who joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in the recently concluded transfer window, was given a fine welcome when he was introduced. The Belgian International was sitting out in the first three matches of the season owing to a muscle injury.
