Not long ago, it was a dream for the Indian fans to see a compatriot sweating it out in the squared circle. ‘The Great Khali’ made that dream coming true and, now, Kavita Devi is the first Indian woman wrestler to enter the arena.

Kavita Devi from Haryana, and an alumnous of The Great Khali’s wrestling academy, has made a significant mark in the pro-wrestling world at the Mae Young Classic event, where she impressed everyone with her skills, personality and ring gear!

Yes, the ring gear! WWE is very creative with the costumes of their superstars and calls out the best designers for designing the costumes of their stars that suits the wrestler at his or her best.

Geared up in an orange Salwar-Kameez with a Dupata tied to her waist, the Indian impressed everyone with her simplicity and amazing in-ring skills. Kavita took on New Zealand’s Dakota Kai at the event. Although she was not victorious in the battle but she did win everyone’s respect especially after a Military Drop press to Dakota.

The buzz has spread about the wrestler on the social media! As everyone is in awe of the wrestler’s simplicity and in-ring ability. Here’s what the Twitterati has to say about her:

Kavita is the third wrestler to star in the biggest wrestling organisation after The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal (both world champions) and the first woman from India to wrestle for the Juggernaut (WWE). Jinder and Khali, both have been world champions in the WWE, now it’ll interesting to see that how far the female wrestler will go in the professional wrestling world.
