India’s pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah is considered to be one of the most dangerous bowlers in the world cricket. From becoming number one bowler in ICC T20 ranking to transforming himself into a proper Test bowler, Bumrah has astounded fans and experts alike.
Showering praises on Jasprit Bumrah, India’s batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar said he was not “surprised” by the success of Mumbai Indians cricketer.
“Honestly, I had seen this coming,” Tendulkar told Sportstar, before adding, “I am not surprised by Bumrah’s success. Having spent time with him and seen his sincere and honest efforts to improve and learn, I always knew it was a matter of time before he would rattle the best batsmen in the world.”
“I have seen from close quarters how he looks to improve. In 2015, I had seen his ability to win a battle. With Kane Williamson in batting, I had said Bumrah would make his mark. I am happy he has,” Tendulkar added.
Speaking about Bumrah’s bowling, Tendulkar said his accuracy and consistency made him a lethal bowler.
“His action and deceptive bowling, plus the consistency to take wickets, make him a dangerous bowler. He knows how to execute his plans. Bumrah will be a big threat to the opposition and a great asset to India at the World Cup.”
So far, Jasprit Bumrah has bagged 49 wickets in just 10 matches at an economy rate of 2.66. The fast bowler has also picked 78 wickets in 44 One Day International (ODI) matches.
The 25-year-old has also collected 48 wickets in the shortest format of the game.
