ISL 2017-18: Two youth arrested for NorthEast girls harassment

NorthEast United FC on Monday said that Chennai police have arrested two city-based youth in relation to the incident in which three northeast girls were harassed during a Hero Indian Super League (ISL) clash here on Thursday.

A group of men surrounded the girls and mocked them with inappropriate signs during the match between Chennaiyin FC and NE United at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

In a video which is going viral, a man was seen dancing obscenely in front of one of the women.

“Thanks to a prompt action from @chennaipolice_ and DGP of TN, two Chennai based youth have been arrested and kept under judicial custody,” NE United wrote on Twitter.
