IPL: RCB defeat RR by 112 runs

In the IPL’s Super Sunday match, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Rajasthan Royals by 112 runs at SMS stadium here.
Chasing a target of 172 runs put up by RCB, the host team’s seven players including Yashasvi Jaisawal and Jos Buttler were sent back without making a single run.
RR suffered a crushing defeat as it was all out at 59 runs in just 58 minutes of batting. They played 10.3 overs. RR’s Shimron Hetmyer was the top scorer with a knock of 35 runs off 19 balls.
Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell crossed the half centuries and placed RCB to 171/5 in 20 overs. Plessis hit 55 runs off 44 balls, and Maxwell 55 runs off 33 deliveries.
Wayne Parnel, Player of the Match, took three wickets of RCB, while Michael Bracewll and Karn Sharma two each. Mohd Siraj and Glenn Maxwell one each wicket. Virat Kohli made 18 runs off 19 balls, and he took catches of RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal, and KM Asif at zero run.
RR’s score of 59 runs is the smallest score of the league. Out of five IPL matches played on home pitch, RR won the only match against CSK by 32 runs. RR lost against LSG on April 19, Gujarat Titans on May 5, Sunriser Hyderabad on May 7, and today’s match against RCB.
