Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli and star batsman AB de Villiers have massive mutual admiration for one another.

Recently, in his column for The Times of India, AB de Villiers called Indian skipper Virat Kohli a ‘force of nature at crease’.

Virat and AB enjoy being there on the pitch together and they rattle opposition’s bowling lineups. The duo had recently added 100 plus run stands against Delhi Daredevils.

Talking about the game, AB wrote, “After the loss of two early wickets, Virat Kohli and I found ourselves batting together, something we both enjoy,” he wrote, adding, “I battled at first, struggling to find my timing; it has been hard to regain my rhythm after falling ill and missing a couple of matches, but it was great to see Virat driving the ball for six over extra cover and then whipping another maximum over mid-wicket.”

“He is so skilful and determined, a force of nature at crease, and, ball by ball, he helped me get back into the game, until I could start to make a contribution, playing my part as we reached our target with an over to spare,” AB de Villiers further wrote.

Riding on Virat Kohli’s brilliant 40-ball 70 and De Villiers unbeaten 72 off 37, RCB chased down the target of 182 runs against DD with ease at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Saturday night.

Just a few hours after the game, Virat Kohli had taken to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to share how much he enjoyed batting with De Villiers and wrote, “Have always loved batting with this guy. Makes things simpler for the person at the other end. Today was yet another special partnership. Glad to finish on a winning note. #DDvRCB #IPL2018 @ABdeVilliers17.”
