After the 49th match between Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League, RR is placed at the fourth spot with 12 points from 13 games and with the win, Kolkata Knight Riders have consolidated their position in top four with 14 points from 13 outings.
So far in IPL 2018, Kane Williamson-led SunRisers Hyderabad, which is also the table toppers with 18 points in 12 matches, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, have booked their berth in the IPL playoffs.
R Ashwin’s Kings XI Punjab have slipped to the fifth position in the table after their humiliating defeat to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 48th match of the tournament. Punjab will today face desperate Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium, which is a must-win clash for both teams.
Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers is at number seven with five wins and seven losses in 12 outings. Followed by Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Daredevils, which are at the bottom of the table.
Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians are at number six with as many points as Bangalore but with a slightly better run-rate.
