In the 50th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), for the first time, cricket fans witnessed the players of the rival teams exchange their jerseys.
Mumbai Indians defeated Kings XI Punjab by three runs on Wednesday at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. After the match, Mumbai all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Punjab’s wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul swapped their team t-shirts in front of the Wankhede crowd.
Football fans often witness players exchanging their jerseys but it was the first instance when two players exchanged their jerseys in the league.
With this win, Mumbai Indians boosted their tally to 12 with one game in hand. The Rohit Sharma-led side have jumped to the fourth spot on the points table.

On Wednesday, Mumbai pacer Jasprit Bumrah was exceptionally good with the ball and produced match-winning bowling performance. Bumrah conceded 15 runs in his allotted 4 overs and took three wickets for his team.
Bumrah also took the crucial wicket of KL Rahul, after which Punjab never recovered.
With the win, Mumbai kept their hopes alive to qualify in playoffs. Now Mumbai is placed at the fourth spot in IPL table with 12 points from 13 games.
With the defeat, Kings XI Punjab moved to the sixth position with 12 points and one game to go.
