In the 37th match of Indian Premier League (IPL), Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians thrashed Dinesh Karthik-led Kolkata Knight Riders by 13 runs on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai to remain in the playoff hunt.

Here is the stats review of Sunday’s match:

1- In a head-to-head contest, 17 times Mumbai have defeated Kolkata, most by any IPL team.

2- The second slot in terms of most wins by any team in a head-to-head contest is also reserved by MI. Mumbai have beaten Royal Challengers Bangalore 14 times. CSK have thrashed RCB 14 times. And Kolkata Knight Riders too have beaten Kings XI Punjab 14 times.

3- In IPL 2018 so far, MI opener Suryakumar Yadav (six times) has been the top-scorer, most for any batsman from any side in the ongoing season.

4- On Sunday, Suryakumar Yadav completed 1000 runs in the IPL and by doing so become first Indian uncapped player to do so.

5- KKR’s wicket-keeper batsman Robin Uthappa took 153 innings to complete 4,000 runs in the IPL – thus becoming the slowest to achieve this feat. The second spot is reserved by MI skipper Rohit Sharma. He took 147 innings to score 4,000 runs.

6- 83 times, Robin Uthappa has been at the losing side in an IPL match – most for any player in the league ever.

7- Sunil Narine has sent Rohit Sharma back to stands six times. Vinay Kumar had also dismissed Rohit six times.
